Maybe a little more context for what you are referring to please.  I'm assuming you mean taking two characters from level 43 to level 44 but the cost is the different?  Are the XP the same for both?  Are they both the same Rank?

From what I can tell, unlike other games that you have to choose which XP items to use to Level up, this game just automatically takes the best options for the Desired level.  Example:  I have 2* Half Nelson and 1* Armpitt Britt both at level 33, Nelson has 40/720xp and needs 5 2* to get to 34 costing 5325g, Britt is 120/720xp and only needs 4 2* which only costs 4260g. Now he's 70/870 and she's 0/870, so we can assume that the 2* are 150xp 1065g each.

What I think Wesley means is when you are leveling a character, when pressing the + button, you get a level that repeats on the same level bar, one costing more than the other. I believe it’s usually the last level available that splits like this, I have to see if the levels in between split, too. This is also something that puzzles me. Am I missing out by leveling using the cheapest pick of the same level on the same character? I’ll give an example I currently have. Right now I can level Bony Joanie to level 36. As I push the + button I get 2 options for 36, one costing 18,105 and 2nd 27,335. They both get me to 36, but use a different combination of XP. What’s up with that?

The final tick of the line will give you enough XP to just barely not hit the next level. It's a bug, but you're not wasting XP if you do this.

Oh OK. So if I go for the cheapest option, I’m not missing out on stats.

Another bug lol  how many does this game have and when will they finally be fixed? I take it you waste coins though?

You're not wasting anything - you spend the coins, you get the XP.

It seems like you do waste coins if you choose the pricier option, so just pick the cheaper one. I’m glad I know this now as I was just maximizing the bar all the way getting the pricier option.
