I saw that crappy movie. It was awful. If there was movie idea that needs a reboot, it is Garbage Pail Kids. I would love to see an animated movie instead of live action, which pretty much almost always ruins the source material. Lots of great characters to choose from for your main cast and a lot of character cameo possibilities.

Sounds like you had a fun night then I grew up in Alabama with my grand mother who was a sever bible beater the only thing I got to watch was a old black and white permitily set to the length Copeland channel and every chance I got I would get a pack of gpk cards look at them real quickly and then had to hide them in a waterproof container and bury it so my grand mother wouldnt find them one day she was pruning her roses and I didn't see her so i dug up my jar placed my new cards in and sealed it and rebutted it an hour later she called me in and I saw her at the fire place burning every on she said for every card I had I was getting a lashing per card needless to say i had over 500 cards

I haven’t seen the movie because I heard how terrible it is. I like the idea of rebooting with an animated version. Maybe instead of a long drawn out storyline (which might ruin what we think of GPK), the movie should be a compilation of short clips with punchlines just like how the back of the old cards had short comic strips.

Lol, remember renting that's from the local Ritz video shop. Was terrible if I remembered correctly. Kind of had vibes of Howard the duck.
A real reboot would be great if they did it correctly.

Yes, I seen it and thought "eh, it's ok because of introducing some of the characters" but everything else was downright bad. The cartoon was better.

I think they ought to redo it in the style of Pixar or DreamWorks....

The story should be something like this:

"Quiet Meadows, California...the sweetest, quiet, cleanest, nicest little town. Everyone there loves it...all except Evan. He was always different from the other kids. Then one day his whole world is turned inside out....literally. Evan is transported into an alternate world where everything is gross, twisted, demented, weird, and downright silly. Welcome to Trashville, USA. Evan befriends a group of outcasts only known as The Nice Guys. They try to show Evan around while trying to thwart some evil no good nicks in trying to find a way to merge their world with Evan's."

Maybe have different regions where certain types of GPK's reside

    What you all think?
