I just thought of a way for you to fix PvP in a way that will encourage putting in your strongest teams AND keeping the point system.
I know you want to have a unique PvP that is different from Galaxy of Heroes swapping mechanic and Marvel Strike Force's dumpster fire PvP that never lets you progress no matter what you do. That's why you went with the point system that resets every day. But the current model just doesn't work. There are ways to rig the system, it encourages putting in weak teams, there are too many ties at the end of the day, sometimes matchmaking won't pair me with an opponent that will get me 100 points, if you start too late in the day you cannot compete, etc...
So, here is my fix.
Base the total win score on the total health percentage your team has at the end of the battle. Here's how that would work. If your team receives 0 damage, you get 100 points. Every card contributes an automatic 20 points, so if you put in 4 cards, your team handicapped itself by starting with 80 points. Also, you'll want your best cards in so you can wipe the other team as fast as possible so you can get the highest score. Cards that add defense, buff health, stun or hit really hard will become useful again. Also, speed and tanks that taunt. And at the end of the match, the game takes the entire team's remaining health and pools it to come up with a percentage point and that's your score. ie: Your team's health was 93%, you get 93 out of 100 points, assuming you started with a full team. If you put in 4 cards, it would be 93% of 80 points instead (64 points).
In order to get a full 1000 points for the day, you'd have to get 10 flawless victories in a row. That's not likely, so the scores would now be all over the place. And the higher the rank you get, the better the teams will be, so the harder it will be to walk away with full health.
Right now, when you go into matchmaking, you are presented with 3 options. Nobody uses the first 2. Ever. We just hit refresh until option 3 has the team we want. But now you'll have to look at all the teams to see which ones you can beat and not just the one closest to #1.
We just want a competitive PvP to showcase the best players. Not the players who can best the system.
