    Very strange. Try force-quitting the game and opening again, there might have been an issue with your coin count or token count getting out of sync with the server.

    This would happen to me too. When it would first bring me to the character screen, it would let me upgrade. But as soon as I went to another screen and back, it wouldn't let me anymore. But after force-quitting the game and opening it back up, it would be ok again.

    Thanks Lost for the info. As I suspected, this is a temporary bad client state that can be resolved by force-quitting the game and starting over. These are some of the hardest bugs to track down because it's difficult to know what triggered the bad state :(

    Actually this one is easy as it has been reported before ... bad state is caused by fully upgrading another character which grays out the upgrade button. Instead of applying to one character it applies to all. Force quit us the workaround
